TEHRAN, (BPN) — Iran and South Korea have signed a $20 million agreement for the development of technical knowhow for mini-LNG ISO containers over a period of four years. This agreement on technical and research cooperation will facilitate international marketing for the two countries. The memorandum was signed in South Korea’s Busan between a group of companies led by National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC) and a consortium led by South Korea’s Oceanus. The Korean side comprises KITECH, DongHwa Entec, Sung-IL Encare, Gs E&C, KoGas Tech and KGS. The largest solar power plant with the capacity of 10 MW was operated in province of Isfahan with the presence of Minister of energy and some of national and provincial authorities. According to the report from public relations of renewable energy and energy efficiency organization of Iran (SATBA), this power plant was constructed by the cooperation of international power and energy investment Company (Ghadir) and its foreign partner from Greece in the province of Isfahan. The capacity of this power plant is 10 MW which is provided by 39000 solar panels. At the moment this amount of capacity is the largest in the country. Iran Oil Terminals Company (IOTC) is preparing infrastructure to export oil produced from fields in the West Karoun area in western Iran, the IOTC chief said. “The company has received a plan to export West Karoun crude oil and this operation is set to start after preparing such infrastructure as Genaveh-Kharg pipeline and an export terminal,” Pirouz Mousavi said. This pipeline has currently capacity to export 1.2 to 1.5 mb/d of oil, adding it can currently handle 700,000 b/d. Mousavi said that Iran’s Research Institute of Petroleum Industry (RIPI) was studying a project to delivered blended oil of various API gravity. He said that Iran owes 70% of its revenue to IOTC terminals.
